Peel Region Council after the 2026 election: Caledon

Early’s move to mayor means a new person holds the Wards 1 to 3 regional seat.
What we could not confirm
Peel’s own page describes the outgoing council. It does not yet list the new members, and we did not find a Peel announcement of the next Regional Chair or of how many seats each city holds from November 15. We have not guessed. We will update this article when Peel publishes them.
What happens next
Results are unofficial until each City Clerk declares them. Under Ontario’s Municipal Elections Act, the new four-year term starts November 15, 2026 and runs to November 14, 2030. A recount is automatic only for a tie. Otherwise one can be ordered within 30 days of the clerk’s declaration.
