What changes on Route 54 County Court?

Route 54 County Court will be realigned to serve Havelock Drive starting November 2, 2026, the City says. Route 54 is also the only route with new schedules on all three service days: weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The City’s notice does not list which stops are added or dropped. If you board Route 54, check the new schedule on bramptontransit.com or call 905.874.2999 before November 2.

Why are these Brampton Transit service changes happening?

Brampton Transit says the November 2 changes adjust schedules “to improve service reliability.” In its notice, the City says service changes like these also respond to operational changes and ridership demand.

Most riders on the 14 retimed weekday routes will not see a new route map. You may see buses arrive a few minutes earlier or later than you are used to, which matters most if you make a tight transfer to another bus or a GO train.

Detours and stop changes already in place

Some Brampton Transit detours are already running, separate from the November 2 changes. The City’s Bus Stop Impacts and Detours page lists these, among others. Our roundup of current Brampton Transit detours tracks the latest closures:

  • Heart Lake Terminal: closed for upgrades since October 5. Routes 2, 7/7A, 28/28A and school specials 201, 202, 203, 204 and 218 stop on Conestoga Drive. See our Heart Lake Terminal closure guide.
  • Queen Street West streetscape work: westbound 1/1A Queen and 561 Züm Queen West buses detour along Nelson Street and McMurchy Avenue. Stops 1655 (Queen at Mill) and 1656 (Queen at Park) are closed. The City expects this to last about 3 months from October 1.
  • Mount Pleasant GO Station: Route 60 Mississauga Road uses Platform 6 while Platform 5 is closed for construction, which the City expects to last until summer 2027.

GO train riders have a separate disruption coming. On October 31 and November 1, GO trains from Brampton will run only as far as Mount Dennis. Our guide to the Kitchener GO line closure explains how to get to Union that weekend.

Remembrance Day bus service on November 11

Brampton Transit will run its regular weekday schedule on Remembrance Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026, according to its November Read and Ride notice. Terminal customer service counters stay open. The Clark and Sandalwood facilities, including Lost and Found, will be closed that day. Our guide to Remembrance Day services in Brampton has the ceremony times and locations.
