When is the Brampton Santa Claus Parade in 2026?

The Brampton Santa Claus Parade takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 5 p.m., according to the official parade website. It is a nighttime parade, so most of it passes after dark. The organizers say it starts promptly and runs in any weather.

That is about three weeks after the clocks go back on November 1. Our guide to the end of daylight saving time explains why evenings get dark an hour earlier by then.

What is the Brampton Santa Claus Parade route?

The 2026 route starts at Bramalea Road and Central Park Drive, goes north on Bramalea Road to North Park Drive, then turns east on North Park Drive and finishes at North Park Drive and Jordan Boulevard. The organizers post a map on their parade route page.

The organizers say the parade takes about an hour to pass any one spot. If you watch near the start, Santa reaches you sooner. If you watch near Jordan Boulevard, expect the floats closer to 6 p.m.

Where to park for the Santa Claus Parade

You cannot park on the parade route from 2 p.m. on November 21 until the road reopens at about 8 p.m. The parade FAQ says the City’s by-law department strictly enforces this. Parking is available at shopping centres, schools and recreation centres around the route, the organizers say.

Brampton Santa Claus Parade 2026 checklist: parking, arrival time, letters for Santa and what to wear

Pick your lot carefully. The FAQ warns that some streets and lots can only be reached from Bramalea Road or North Park Drive, and gives Pineway Place and the Salvation Army lot as examples. If you park there, you can’t leave until the parade is over and the road reopens.

On other streets nearby, the City’s normal rules still apply, including the 3-hour limit. Our Brampton parking rules guide lists the fines.

Taking Brampton Transit to the parade

Taking the bus avoids the parking hunt, but Bramalea Road and North Park Drive are closed to traffic during the parade, so check how your route is affected. Brampton Transit’s Bus Stop Impacts and Detours page did not list the parade when we checked on October 18. Look at its detours page closer to the day. Fares and PRESTO tips are in our Brampton Transit guide.

Tips for parade night

  • Arrive early. The organizers recommend it to find parking and a good viewing spot. Anywhere along the route gives a good view, they say, though some areas get busier than others.
  • Bring a letter for Santa. Santa’s helpers collect letters along the route just before Santa arrives.
  • Dress for the weather. The parade goes ahead rain or shine, and it is outdoors after dark in late November.
  • Know the vendors aren’t official. The FAQ says vendors along the route are not part of the parade and must be off the road by 4:30 p.m. Any purchase from them is at your own risk.

How to volunteer or enter a float

A volunteer organization runs the Brampton Santa Claus Parade, and it is looking for help. The volunteer page explains how to sign up. Groups that want to enter a float can find the participation details and float entry regulations on the parade website.

What this means for you

If you live near Bramalea Road or North Park Drive, move your car off the street before 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, and expect the roads to stay closed until about 8 p.m. If you are coming from elsewhere in Brampton, arrive early, park off the route, and bring warm layers.
